Berlin has a unique past, present and future. Our hotel has long been at the city’s heart, thanks to a perfect location and a passion for authentic hospitality.
Opened in 1958, the original Hotel Berlin was a pioneer of the “Island of Freedom”, as West Berlin came to be known.
It hosted world leaders and International celebrities and staged events that lit up both the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Over the years the hotel has grown to become one of the biggest in the city, with over 700 rooms and suites, restaurants, bars, an unequalled conference and events centre and a rare inner city garden restaurant.
And yet, despite its scale, the hotel has never become intimidating or impersonal. Guests have always enjoyed discrete, attentive service and a sense of warm welcome.
